Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – the upcoming Hindi film directed by Zoya Akhtar is a story of three friends, Kabir, Imraan and Arjun, who embark on a road trip, that changed their lives forever. Abhay Deol, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin play the lead actors in the film.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara also features Spanish actress Ariadna Cabrol and will have brief appearances of Suhel Sheth and Naseeruddin Shah. Produced by Farhan Akhtar along with Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has been extensively shot at locations in Spain. Some of the portions were shot in Egypt and India.
Music director trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy takes the credit for composing the pulsating music of the film. Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Kabir, played by Abhay Deol, is a wealthy young man who works in his father’s construction company in Mumbai. He gets engaged to Natasha (Kalki Koechlin) 6 months after meeting her. Kabir decides to set on a fantasy holiday, which he had planned to take up after college with two of his school friends, Arjun and Imraan, played by Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar respectively.
Arjun is a financial trader working at a huge firm in London. He grew up without a father and had seen a hard life. He had big dreams and his entire focus was to establish himself well in life. Though reluctant to leave his work, he agrees to join his friends for the holiday. Kabir’s another friend, Imraan, is a copywriter who works at an advertising agency in Delhi. He too decides to join the gang. During the trip it was decided that each of the friends will take part in the ultimate sport of his choice and the other two will have to accompany him. The adventure makes them face their fears and alter their perception. In other words the holiday changes their lives forever.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is Zoya Akhtar’s second film after Luck By Chance. In both the films she had cast her director brother Farhan Khan in the lead role. Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were rumoured to be a part of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara but they declined because they wished to star together in their own production. The film will be an opportunity for Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif to boost their sagging prospects.
